Meet the Admin
Dr. Daniel DuLany, Principal

Before joining Granville Academy as principal, I served as Granville County Public Schools' SparkNC Lab Coordinator, where I had the opportunity to lead innovative STEM and technology learning experiences for students across the district. Throughout my career in education, I've been fortunate to serve in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, interventionist, instructional coach, and assistant principal. Each of these experiences has shaped my belief that strong relationships, high expectations, and innovative learning opportunities help every student reach their full potential.
My path to education began in an unexpected place. I earned my bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Administration from Missouri State University before discovering my passion for teaching and educational leadership. I later earned a Master of Science in Education in Elementary Education from Missouri State University, an Academically and Intellectually Gifted (AIG) certification from Duke University, a Master of School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke through the Sandhills Region Education Consortium Principal Development Program, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
I am passionate about creating learning environments where every student feels valued, challenged, and supported, and I am excited to partner with our students, families, staff, and community as we continue to grow together at Granville Academy.
